Author Boresz Engelking to Sign Last Lake County History Book at Debonné Vineyards
Boresz will be at the cellar from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24. This is part of the cellar’s Woof Wednesdays series.
“Lost Lake County, Ohio” is slated for Monday, August 22. She will also be selling her first book, “Hidden History of Lake County, Ohio,” at the winery on August 24. Boresz Engelking is an award-winning and regional Emmy-nominated writer who has worked in broadcasting, film and print media.
His latest book, “Lost Lake County, Ohio” (Arcadia Publishing, $23.99, 208 pages) explores the loss
forgotten structures and industries, from drive-ins to beloved soda fountains to pharmacies, bakeries and more.
“Hidden History of Lake County, Ohio” tells the stories behind many interesting people and places in the county.
The “Woof Wednesdays” series runs from June through August, with various animal charities serving as beneficiaries. Leashed dogs are allowed in the winery after 5 p.m. for an evening of live music and wine. The winery donates 50 cents on every glass of wine or beer, $1 on every bottle drunk at the winery, and 10% of food sales to the featured shelter/rescue.
Boresz Engelking is donating a portion of book sales in August to donate athletic equipment to Willowick Baseball.
