Gretna Chamber of Commerce releases latest Gretna Green Book | Gretna

This year’s edition of the Gretna Green Book is now available.

The Gretna Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual membership directory also serves as a community guide – useful for newcomers and long-time residents alike.

“We are truly proud of the Green Book and grateful to our members who make it possible,” said Carrie Reitmeier, community engagement coordinator for the chamber.

The Green Book features stories about downtown Gretna, the McKinneys, The Beanery, Loren Katt, winner of last year’s Citizen of the Year award, and City Council member Kara Alexander.

“The addition of the local stories seems to be a hit with our community, as we’ve received lots of positive feedback about them,” Reitmeier said. “The photograph, taken by Chamber Board Member Nate Olsen of Creative Olsen, was over the top. It’s amazing how many of our fellow citizens are looking forward to this book.

The directory includes listings of businesses, schools and professionals in the area, as well as a new Gretna map received in March 2022.

“There’s so much going on in our great community and the map is helpful in navigating it all,” Reitmeier said.

Copies of the Green Book can be found throughout the city, including businesses, the chamber office in Village Square, and the Gretna Public Library.
